A faster filter workflow
A compatible Freewell lens gives you two choices. Thread a conventional 58mm filter into the lens, or use this dedicated Freewell filter that slides over the outside of the barrel. The slide-on filter never engages the 58mm thread. Push it into place, make the shot, and pull it off when the scene changes.
No threading required
The close-fitting frame installs directly over the front of the supported lens. No adapter ring. No repeated twisting. No lost moment while the subject is moving.

Exposure + reflection control
Adjust light by one to five stops for smoother motion in bright conditions. Rotate the CPL to reduce glare from water, glass, and polished surfaces while restoring richer color.
Highlight diffusion
Soften hard digital highlights and let practical lights bloom gently. Skin and night scenes gain a more organic atmosphere without hiding the detail that matters.

Threaded filter or Freewell slide-on
The compatible lenses have a standard 58mm front thread, so you may use a conventional 58mm threaded filter. This slide-on filter is a separate option. It is not a 58mm threaded filter; its frame is shaped specifically around the outside barrel geometry of the Freewell lenses above.

They fit seven current Freewell lens models: Steven Divish 1.33x and 1.55x Pro Cine lenses, standard 1.33x and 1.55x anamorphic lenses, the 16mm wide angle lens, 1.7x telephoto lens, and 100mm long range macro lens. These lenses also accept conventional 58mm threaded filters, but this dedicated filter slides around the outside of the lens barrel and does not use the thread.
No. The filter frame slides over the front of a compatible Freewell lens, so there is no repeated screw-on rotation during installation or removal.
No. Use one slide-on filter at a time. Choose VND/CPL when you need exposure and reflection control, or Glow Mist 1/4 when you want highlight diffusion.
No. The 3x Telephoto Macro and 8mm Fisheye have no front filter thread and use different barrel shapes. The fisheye profile also prevents this type of filter attachment. The 6x Telephoto uses a different front size and barrel geometry.
