Yes. Flip the hood open to reach the filter, change it, then close the hood again. The hood remains attached throughout the process.
Yes. The hood has external control tabs that let you rotate the CPL from outside the hood, helping keep fingerprints off the glass.
The kit includes a 49mm hybrid CPL / Glow Mist 1/4 filter. It reduces glare and reflections while adding a gentle cinematic bloom to highlights.
Freewell offers dedicated 49mm VND 1–5 Stop, CPL, Gold Mist 1/4 and Glow Mist 1/8 filters for the Real Lens Hood. You can also use another 49mm filter, but its outer diameter must be no more than 51mm.
