Swing the Island out, slide in a supported K2 effect filter and keep your circular exposure control in place.
The Island pivots out from the Master Base when you need the slide-in slot.
Add Soft GND0.9 or Glow Mist without dismantling the circular filter setup.
Move the gradient vertically, rotate the holder and use the spirit level for a controlled line.
TWO-SIDED HYBRID FILTERS
Each True Color VND has a second optical function on its reverse. Remove the VND Base, turn the filter over and mount it directly to the K2 Master Base.
Use with the VND Base for fast exposure control in changing daylight.

VND is the fast option when light changes during filming: rotate to adjust exposure. Straight ND gives fixed, repeatable light reduction for photography or controlled shooting conditions.
Yes. A supported K2 slide-in creative filter can work with the circular VND setup in the same system.
Remove the VND Base, turn the hybrid filter over and mount its reverse directly to the Master Base. VND1–5 reverses to CPL; VND6–9 reverses to ND32/CPL.
No. K2 uses an oversized one-system architecture across lenses up to 82mm, so standard lens hoods are not compatible while the holder is installed.
Both. The VND workflow is built for fast filmmaking, while Straight ND, Soft GND and UV options give photographers a precise field system.
