Start with the VND/CPL. Add the 5-stop ND32 for harder light. Choose a 1/4 mist layer when the image needs atmosphere. Every layer uses the same secure locking language.

Neutral density lets filmmakers hold a deliberate shutter speed in bright light. The independent CPL then gives separate control over selected glare and reflections, so exposure and polarization do not fight for the same dial.

Variable ND filter questions, answered
It is a professional variable ND filter and circular polarizer in one locking system. The VND controls exposure from 3–7 stops, while the CPL can be adjusted independently to manage reflections and glare.
The VND/CPL base provides 3–7 stops. Adding the 5-stop ND32 extends the system to up to 10+ stops of light control for very bright conditions, long exposures and time-lapses.
Yes. The ND32 can lock directly onto the base ring as a standalone 5-stop neutral density filter, or it can be stacked with the VND/CPL for stronger light reduction.
The Real Locking system supports lenses from 49mm through 82mm using the matching Freewell base ring. The All Day and Mega kits include an 82mm base ring; other sizes are available separately.
